He has been silent, but now he is speaking out. Rev. Wright, Senator Obama’s pastor who put him (Obama) in probably the hottest soup he has been in since the campaign began is now on TV talking about those controversial speeches posted on Youtube. He says that he and Obama speak to two different audiences in two different words (paraphrased). He speaks as a pastor and Obama speaks as a politician. The good ‘old uncle’ as Obama previously refered to him is doing more harm than good to his sheep’s campaign. Whether his comments where taken out of context or not is not the issue. The issue is that it caused a storm and Obama had managed to quiet it after his moving speech on race. The last thing America or Obama’s campaign needs is for the Wright debate to be reawakened. That comment about ‘different worlds’ only makes out Obama to seem like a two faced person who says one thing and believes another. That does not help Obama’s campaign. If Wright has such a close relationship with the Obamas and indeed wishes him succeess in the race, it would be a smart thing to lay low until Obama has won or is thrown off the race. If does not have to take back his words if that is inded what he believes. He just needs to lay low. In the meantime, Rev. Wright and Black America in general should move from crying over the injustices inflicted on them by white folks in history, lick those old wounds and move on. Life is too short to spend whining about such issues. The fact that a black man is running for president just goes to show that things are better and that ebony and ivory can live together in harmony. (Am black, so am not being racist here).
